Looking for the best Key Lime Pie

On May 4th, 2009

My family are here since a week now so we decided to go to Key West in order to visit Florida a little bit. And this time, I don’t want to drive all day long from Tampa so I think this is the opportunity to go by boat thanks to Key West Express.

So funny, the first night I told them to try a Key Lime Pie because this is the best dessert in town and they will never find something like that somewhere else. The thing is I never try a real Key Lime Pie from Key West, neither those from Key Lime Pie Factory.

I like Key Lime Pies in France so it should be good. Actually, it wasn’t because it was too sweet and I didn’t trust them before to try it myself. You can now imagine my face with the first bite…

But anyway, Key Lime Pies still rock!

The Pier

On March 25th, 2009

Located in Downtown St. Petersburg, The Pier is a nice place to take a walk by night. Actually, the whole downtown is pretty charming: you have fancy restaurants, bars, nice buildings and beautiful sightseeing of the bay. So it’s very animated.

Kennedy Space Center

On February 22nd, 2009

The John F. Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is the NASA space vehicle launch facility and Launch Control Center (spaceport) on Merritt Island, Brevard County, Florida, United States. The site is near Cape Canaveral, midway between Miami and Jacksonville, Florida. It is 34 miles (55 km) long and around 6 miles (10 km) wide, covering 219 square miles (567 km2). A total of 13,500 people work at the site as of early 2008. There is a visitor center and public tours; KSC is a major tourist destination for visitors to Florida. Because much of KSC is a restricted area and only nine percent of the land is developed, the site also serves as an important wildlife sanctuary; Mosquito Lagoon, Indian River, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore are also features of this area. The American Flag painted on the Vehicle Assembly Building was the largest in the world at the time of the VAB’s construction, and has stars that measure 6 feet in diameter. The stripes would be wide enough to drive a bus down if it were laid out horizontally.

Santana Row

On February 1st, 2009

Santana Row is a nice place to take a walk a sunday afternoon in SF. I like the way how they decorate the place, it remembers me a mall close to where I live in France (Val d’Europe for french people - okay Santana Row is 100 times nicer than Val d’Europe but they should copy that style). Otherwise, let me introduce you 2 little puppies: Nala & Pepper. They are so cute!
